533-Sik-E-Dakh Winter Support 

Sik-e-Dakh Band Council is pleased to offer a Winter Allowance for all registered Sik-e-Dakh Band members to help with additional costs during the colder season

​

The program is open to all 533 Sik-E-Dakh members, whether they live on or off-reserve.

​

Payment Amounts

Adults born 2006 or earlier:
$500 per person

Youth born 2007 or later:
$300 per person

For children born 2009 or later:
Payment will be issued to the primary parent/guardian.

Application Requirements

Be a registered Glen Vowell (Sik-e-Dakh) Band Member

Submit a completed application form by January 31, 2026.

  • The name on the void cheque must match the person applying unless you are the primary parent/guardian

Sik-E-Dakh, also known as Glen Vowell, is a proud Gitxsan community located in the picturesque Skeena Country of northwestern British Columbia. Nestled west of the Skeena River, between Hazelton and Kispiox, Sik-E-Dakh reflects its Gitxsanimx name, meaning "Bright Lights Behind Mountain."

 

Our language, Gitxsanimx, is central to our identity and heritage, and we are committed to preserving and revitalizing it for future generations.
